Owned by photographer Christian Schallert, Hotel Brummell combines historic charm with contemporary style. The building’s façade, dating back to 1870, has been preserved, while the interiors were fully reimagined by architect Inma Rábano. Designers Tommy Tang and Crick King of Blankslate (also founders of Federal Café) drew inspiration from Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa’s “tropical modernism.” The result is a space where natural light, bold textures, and elegant simplicity define the atmosphere.
