The idea for the restaurant came at six in the morning at the Sala Apolo nightclub, when the founders Magic Alam and Mani Alam wanted some fish and chips and quickly discovered that there was none to be found.
Established in 2013 and located on the elegant Carrer Mandri, Once Upon a Time has a Parisian feel in both its decor and cuisine. Initially a tearoom, it has expanded to offer breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and dinner.
Chef Oriol Ivern opened Hisop in 2001, having worked previously at the famous Neichel restaurant. The bistro gastronómico serves contemporary Catalan cuisine working with strictly seasonal ingredients and consequently the menu changes four times per year.
