Chef Oriol Ivern opened Hisop in 2001, having worked previously at the famous Neichel restaurant. The bistro gastronómico serves contemporary Catalan cuisine working with strictly seasonal ingredients and consequently the menu changes four times per year. Small weekly adjustments are also made based on the short season of some products.
The Sant Gervasi based restaurant has been rated with one Michelin Star since 2010.
The interior design at Hisop was done by YOOS Arquitects, who created a minimalist yet warm atmosphere.
