El Ninot Cuina (the doll market in Catalan) is situated inside the Mercat del Ninot in the Eixample neighborhood. The market dates back to 1892 and was recently renovated.
In 2005 chef Albert Adría (brother of molecular gastronomist Ferran Adrià) partnered with his friend Joan Martinez to launch a restaurant called Inopia Classic Bar.
La Pepita opened in 2010 in the lower part of the Gràcia neighborhood, led by Sergio Andreu and Sofía Boixet. The pair had recently returned from Paris, where Sergio had worked for a gourmet Spanish restaurant called Fogón.
Sagàs is a small mid-mountain village situated in the Berguedà, where the Pyrenees begin. Oriol Rovira, the cook of Els Casals, a restaurant located in Sagàs, created the concept of Sagàs restaurant.
Opened in May, Bar But’s ambition is to be a local bar for the people of Gràcia, with a commitment to fresh produce and quality. The menu is designed around seasonal produce.
