The Temple of Augustus was built in the late first century BC in the Roman colony of Barcino. Many temples dedicated to Augustus, the first Roman emperor, were built in the territories of the Roman Empire.
Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batlló was created between 1904 and 1906. The building was remodeled by Gaudí for the textile industrialist Josep Batlló from a previously built house.

The Hospital Sant Pau by the Modernist architect Domènech i Montaner. Sant Pau is located in the Eixample neighborhood a short walk from La Sagrada Familia. The hospital took 30 years to build, from 1901 to 1930. Montaner’s work also inlcudes the Palau de la Música Catalana and Hotel Casa Fuster.
