La Escocesa

La Escocesa is a self-managed creation space and meeting point for artists working in the visual arts. Launched in 1999, it offers artists affordable spaces and support in their professional development. Currently, there are 15 resident artists. It is situated in a former industrial complex in El Poblenou that dates back to 1852, now listed as an Industrial Heritage building. The development was initially used to produce chemical products for the textile industry.
