Bar Tomás is most famous for its patatas bravas – often cited as the best in Barcelona. Situated in the middle of Sarrià’s Calle Mayor, the restaurant is unassuming in its decor and the food is also modestly priced.
The restaurant is conveniently situated a short walk from the FGC Sarrià train station. It’s more or less a straight shot if you take Carrer de Jaume Piquet.
The bravas are the star of the show, served with a rich garlic sauce. They can be enjoyed alone or accompanied by fried eggs, grilled pork loin, steak, butifarra sausage or meatballs. Other specialties at Bar Tomás are the tuna dumplings, flavorful chicken croquettes and anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea. (See also: Best Tapas Restaurants in Barcelona)
