Pastelería Escribà traces its origens to 1906, when Mateu Serra i Capell, a coal deliveryman, established the bakery at 546 Gran Via. More than a hundred years later, his grandson Antoni Escribà i Serra and his great-grandsons work at the same premises.
The family has since branched out to also offer some of the best seafood and paellas in Barcelona. Joan Escribà runs Xiringuito Escribà located on Bogatell beach.
