Restaurant Indochine Ly Leap

Opened in 2008, Indochine Ly Leap brings the cuisine of Southeast Asia to the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona in vivid style. Multi-talented Cambodian chef and owner Ly Leap first emigrated to Paris before coming to Barcelona and his flair as a florist and gardener are evident in the space. The large interior of the restaurant features orchids, tropical trees, waterfalls, wood carvings and a floating hut that was transported piece by piece from Thailand. Part of the restaurant has standard seating and in another area tables are suspended above water with carp swimming beneath. The kitchen has glass walls so that the cooking process of the Thai, Cambodian and Vietnamese recipes can be observed. Popular dishes include the mussels with garlic, ginger and toasted coconut, the clam soup and the lamb in plum sauce.
