Blue Spot from the group En compañía de Lobos opened in June 2018, set in what is possibly the most spectacular terrace in all of Barcelona. The 1000 square meter space has breathtaking views on every side, with unobstructed views of Port Vell and Montjuïc, Playa de Sant Sebastià and the Mediterranean Sea.
Chefs Álex Duran (coming from Restaurante Negro-Rojo) and Mariano Citterio created the menu, on which dishes based on fish and rice play an important role. As with other restaurants from the group, the freshest locally sourced products are used as ingredients. The menu also features pastas, meats, and plates for sharing.
Although set in the sky, the chefs bring an earthy quality to the cuisine with the used of firewood and embers for cooking.
Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld designed the interior and terrace spaces. Weinfeld also designed the interior of En compañía de Lobos’ vegetarian restaurant Green Spot.
The atmosphere changes at night when Blue Spot transforms to Blue Monkey, a glamorous cocktail bar.
