Bar del Pla is set on the same historic street as the Museu Picasso and is the second restaurant managed by Jaume Pla. The restaurant serves traditional cuisine using fresh seasonal products.
They offer a range of comforting ‘grandmother dishes’ such as baby squid and salted pork belly or beef cheek in red wine. Carnivores will enjoy their T-Bone steak, one of several dishes cooked over coals. The tapas include temptations such as anchovies from “L’Escala” and crispy oxtail with foie gras. The restaurant has four sommeliers who love natural and biodynamic wines and enjoy making selections from all over the world. Sommelier Sergi Ruiz won the 2014 Nas d’Or. Decadent deserts such as cheese cake and “torrija” (french toast) round up the meal with style.
