The 9th edition of Pride Barcelona takes place from June 28th to July 9th and gives voice to the TRANS* collective, which is the main topic of the event. This year’s festival also features a new location and longer route.

A Year of Changes

The 2016 program starts on June 28th, the International LGBT rights day, but the days that concentrate the main activities of Pride, like PRIDE Parade, the reading of the manifest, the concerts, the Holy party or the foam party, will take place 0n Friday July 8th and Saturday July 9th. Pride Barcelona 2016 has been moved to the Moll de Fusta de Barcelona, where the Village will be located.

The Paral·lel Upside Down

Changing the location of the Village also changes the route of the catwalk show, which will start from the Plaça d’Espanya heading to Avinguda Paral·lel and it will end arriving at the Pas de Sota Muralla, where all the floats will enter the Ronda del Port to let on passengers and access the Moll de Fusta.

This year, the music will start at 16h on Saturday July 9th at the Avinguda Maria Cristina, launching a float party. At 17h the new and longer route of the demonstration starts that will end at 19h when the head arrives at the Moll de la Fusta of Barcelona.

Highlight Activities

Pride Kids: July 8th and 9th – 12h a 19h

Pride Kids features workshops and activities. Bouncy castles and water fights add to the fun. The kids area is located at the Village.

Miss Drag Pride BCN 2016 Gala: July 8th – 20h

The best drags will be fighting to crown themselves Miss Drag Pride Barcelona 2016 with prizes of up to 1.000€.  Baccara, Verónica Romero, Sandra Bruman and many more will be performing.

The Party: July 9th – 20h

When the demonstration ends, Pride BCN 2016 will say goodbye with the appearances of Lara Sajén, Kym Mazelle and Soren Luka and many others. It will be presented by Itziar Castro and Kyra Shimai at the Moll de Fusta stage.
