Mecal has returned with screenings of short outdoor films, enlivening the hot summer nights of Barcelona from June into September.
Mecal Air returns for the ninth consecutive year, every Friday from 20:00 to 00:00h between June 11th and September 2nd in Poble Espanyol’s Plaça del Baluard. This year the short films draw from the theme of Horror, Sex, Humor, Love, Freaks – featuring some of the best short films from the last edition of Mecal Pro 18, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival. The outdoor cultural project mixes short films and music in a unique space surrounded by nature, yet still within the city. With flyer entrance costs 3,5€, otherwise entrance is 6,5€.
Additionally, Mecal Rooftop will be held on the rooftop of the Hotel Silken Diagonal every Thursday between June 2nd to September 29th from 20:30 to 1:00h, combining projections of short films, music and a spectacular city view. Places are limited so try to arrive early. Entrance is free.
