ManoRota

ManoRota was launched in 2015 by Bernat Bermudo and Oswaldo Brito, veterans of several top restaurants and alumni of Barcelona’s Hofmann catering school. Mano Rota literally means ‘broken hand’ and is a Spanish idiom that describes consummate skill. Situated in the Poble Sec neighborhood, the restaurant serves a unique cuisine with both Mediterranean and international influences.

Oswaldo and Bernat sum up their project as follows;

“At Mano Rota we want to defy all labels. We don’t pretend to be a typical gastronomic restaurant, we don’t only offer traditional cuisine, and we don’t want to take all our dishes to their most extreme flavours. So, we offer a little bit of everything.”

ManoRota has two recommended set tasting menus. Popular dishes from the menu include Suquet Thai, Pulpo al Carbon con Cansalada and Croquetas de Yuca y Scamorza con Mayonesa Citrica. The bright interior of the restaurant has colorful modern art adorning the walls. The space has two bars, table seating and a private room for eight people.
