In 2005 chef Albert Adría (brother of molecular gastronomist Ferran Adrià) partnered with his friend Joan Martinez to launch a restaurant called Inopia Classic Bar. Inopia was a contemporary tapas bar with an emphasis on made-to-order dishes using the best fresh ingredients in an upbeat atmosphere. In 2010, Adría left Inopia to open Tickets Bar, and Martinez reopened the establishment under the name Lolita Tapería. The Sant Antoni based restaurant stills serves classic Inopia dishes such as Les Albergínies amb melassa (eggplant with molasses) and Les Costelletes de conill (rabbit cutlets). Pepi’s Kitchen introduces tapas dishes such as Els Peus de Porc amb cigrons (pigs trotters with chickpeas) and a fun touch is reflected in offerings such as Els Calamars a la Romana en ‘cucurutxo’ (fried calamari served in a paper cone).
Lolita Tapería has a small terrace area and after midnight the restaurant continues to serve cocktails and has a DJ.
The restaurant is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7PM to 12PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 1PM to 4PM and from 7PM to 2:30AM.
