We regret to report that CLUBHAUS has permanently closed.
CLUBHAUS is housed in an impressive 19th century building in the heart of El Born. The multi-functional space includes two restaurants, three bars, a karaoke room, a games area and a room with DJs.
The brainchild of Joel Serra, a chef who breaks rules inside and outside the kitchen, and Alberto Mateos, a musician and art lover, CLUBHAUS is a home away from home for all the creative minds of Barcelona.
“We want to reinforce the idea that being creative is like beauty – it’s an attitude. And in CLUBHAUS, we are all creative…surrounded by artists from all disciplines, we offer a place to enhance that creative attitude, sharing experiences and creating synergies.”
Alberto Mateos
The innovative menu at CLUBHAUS is inspired by street food from Asia and Mexico.
“I believe in authentic and real food cooked by passionate people, it is food for hedonists with a taste for the good life…we trust in pleasure because gluttony is never a sin and every day and every night deserves to be memorable.”
Joel Serra Bevin
The 700 m2 space was designed by MOTEL STUDIO and is divided into three spaces: Show Room (the exhibition on the main floor), Jungle Room (the game room on the lower floor) and the jewel of the crown, Galaxy Room (another bar with electronic vibes).
Show Room
Open all day, Showroom is an ideal meeting point, a place where both art and food provide inspiration. With urban design and traveling art exhibits, it’s the perfect setting for the hungry to unwind and be uplifted. The Showroom menu is a celebration of street food such as the tuna tataki toast, ceviche, Korean tacos and also the grill, where meat, fish and vegetables are prepared. Clubhaus also offers a weekend brunch with banana pancakes, avocado toast with shichimi and watermelon and a sunny burger with fried egg. Drinks include fresh juices, green smoothies and classic cocktails like Bloody Mary, Mimosa, Michelada, and fresh Mojito.
Jungle Room
The downstairs Jungle Room is a space for fun and games, from a miniature golf in the bathrooms to a ping-pong table and a private Karaoke room. The same menu as upstairs is available, although you might have to eat with one hand, while using the other to play with. The Jungle room has a rebellious cocktail menu, a whiskey bar and background of music from the 80s and 90s, with touches of hip-hop.
Galaxy Room
The Galaxy Room is a secret space with an emphasis on electronic music. It is used for exclusive events such as cocktail parties, talks, pop-up movies, private dinners and later, it becomes a bar where DJs play sets of techno and house music.
