We are sad to report that Barietés has closed.
The name Barietés is derived from the word Bar and the French word Varietés. The trendy tortillería is situated in the Sant Antoni neighborhood, near Avenida Parallel and its rich history of Barcelona theater. The space evokes the backstage of a theater and classic venues such Teatre Apolo and El Molino are just a couple of minutes walk away.
Barietés is inspired by its thespian surroundings and the egg is the star of the show. Among the favorite dishes are tortillas stuffed with cod, ratatouille or chorizo. Chef Bruno Zubek, who trained at the Hofmann school and worked previously at Xemei and La Dama, rose to the challenge of creating a varied menu around a single ingredient.
The interior is minimalistic with an industrial feel and fun theatrical references.

Veal Milanesa with egg
The Milanesa is a South American variation of an Italian breaded meat fillet dish; at Barietés topped with an egg.
Barietés Potatoes; thick cut wedges accompanied by a mayonnaise of lime and turmeric.
Torilla with chorizo
One of the signature dishes in Spanish cuisine, the torilla is an omelette made with eggs, potatoes and onion. Chorizo is a flavorful sausage made from pork and seasoned with salt, paprika, garlic and sugar.
The Scotch egg consists of a soft boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in bread crumbs and baked.
Chocolate Coulant with vanilla ice cream
The chocolate coulant is a French desert of chocolate sponge cake that is served warm and has melted fondant on the inside.
Barietés is cozy and unpretentious, while maintaining very high quality food and eggcellent service. Highly recommended for a night out on the town or for a comforting brunch among friends!
