La Forquilla opened in December 2010, located in the neighborhood of Poblenou, between the Rambla del Poblenou and Diagonal. The young chef Vidal Gravalosa (1981) hails from a culinary family – his father owns Casa Julio in Nou Barris. Prior to starting La Forquilla, Gravalosa trained in the kitchens of El Celler de Can Roca and Restaurante Lasarte.
Gravalosa specializes in finding the best products of the season and his plates reflect his passion for the culinary arts. Dishes are modestly priced and good value for money.
The restaurant is surrounded by several modern hotels such as the Meliá Barcelona Sky, attracting a diverse clientele.
